Desperately seeking answer: Can I stop the cursor from diverting from the yahoo address bar to the search ba?

It's really annoying me. I start typing an address in the address bar and suddenly I have half an address in the address bar, the rest of it in the search bar, I press enter and I end up at a search tips page. If I can't fix this, I'm going to have to dump yahoo as my search engine.|||This is called "form focusing" and is used by many search engines, including Google.
