How do I make Google search in my address bar?

I used to be able to just open up an internet window and just type my search in the address bar and it would come out as a google search, but now it doesnt work. How do i get this feature back? thanks. :)|||Go to the tool bar and go to the preferences or the settings of your browser and you will see something that says "Search Engine". Then put in google. It is easier if you download google chrome.|||i would say to download google chrome browser because it has that feature inbuilt and it cannot be deactivated.
