How do I change the defualt search engine for the address bar? I have IE 7?

First I've read similar questions and the answers don't apply to me. I checked tools/internet options/general/search. My default search engine is Google but when I search from the address bar I am directed to Aim Search. I've uninstalled AIM completely and the problem still persists. I've also looked at the advanced tab in the browsing section. I hate this Aim Search and really want google back. Help!|||Go to start on your desktop then control panel internet option in general put in the page you want in. then hit apply. i hope this is what you wanted. |||next to the magnifying glass there should be a drop down button that will allow you to change your default browser. You can also download the google toolbar which will give you the option of making it the default search engine.
